About Team Spence Photography

About Me...

Hi, I'm Mandy. I’m a busy working mummy to two gorgeous girls and a wife, based in the lovely town of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. I’ve had a camera in my hand for around ten years now, but it was thanks to an exciting opportunity in 2022 that truly pushed me to turn a long‑held dream into a reality — to start photographing for others and share the joy that creating images brings me.

I’ve always been creative, ever since studying Art at A‑Level, with a natural eye for colour and composition. But everything changed when I received my first DSLR camera as a wedding present in 2017. Ben had picked up photography first, and before long we’d found a shared passion — chasing sunsets, exploring landscapes, and capturing wildlife together. Over time, I discovered how much I also loved photographing people, especially in a natural, relaxed way. I’m a romantic at heart, so my editing style leans towards soft, warm tones that feel classic and timeless.

Now, as a parent, I understand more than ever how quickly our little ones grow and how precious every stage is. That’s why capturing real, meaningful moments matters so much to me — the everyday memories, the tiny details, the stories behind each smile. The simple times you never want to forget. That’s what my photography is all about.

When I’m not behind the lens, you'll find me with my family, making memories of our own — whether we’re off on an adventure in our caravan, enjoying time out on our boat, or simply soaking up the little things like some home baking or a cosy movie night.

Team Spence

‘‘Team Spence’ began long before Ben and I married in 2017, when I officially became a Spencer. What started as a playful nickname for the two of us quickly became part of our identity, following us through countless adventures.

A few years — and two little ones — later, my photography naturally shifted from landscapes and wildlife to capturing families and the connections between them. The values behind Team Spence are what guide my work today.

At the heart of our “team” is a love for time together, celebrating the people who matter most, and holding onto the moments that make life meaningful. That same ethos inspires me to create beautiful, natural, and genuine photographs of your team — whoever that may be.

Why hire a family photographer?

These days, most of us have phones bursting with thousands of photos — I’m no different. But the truth is, I’m rarely in any of them, and I know many parents feel the same.

That’s where professional photography makes all the difference. A quick phone snap is great for everyday moments, but a dedicated session allows me to capture your family together — the real emotions, the natural connections, the memories you’ll want to treasure and proudly display on your walls at home.

It's not just about the kids!

Family time means everything to me, and that’s exactly why photographing it has become such a passion. Nothing makes me happier than capturing children living their best lives or sleepy newborns snuggled into their parents — but my work goes far beyond that.

When was the last time you stepped in front of the camera? Maybe you’re celebrating a milestone, marking a special moment, or planning a wedding and want those once‑in‑a‑lifetime memories beautifully documented. I also offer single portraits, couples sessions, and even pet photography, because every member of the family deserves their moment.

For those who prefer the comfort of home or need a more controlled setup, I have a fully mobile studio that I can bring directly to you — perfect for portraits, product photography, or simply creating a relaxed environment for little ones.

I’m also proud to work with nurseries and preschools, capturing children in a natural, playful way that parents adore. These sessions are designed to be fun, gentle, and stress‑free for both staff and children.

If it’s about preserving meaningful memories — whether it’s your wedding day, your growing family, your business, or your little one’s first school photos — I’d love to help you capture it.
